On this page you will find my thesis, Aural Literacy, which explores the parallels of visual principles in the aural realm. The initial aim was to establish these parallels, experiment with them, and then create exercises for others to experiment with. The ultimate goal was as a point of departure for further research, exploring how ones ability to make quick, appropriate decisions changes after exposure and experimentation. Below, you can download the PDF of the thesis, and ZIP files of each chapters accompanying audio examples. If you have any trouble downloading the files, or questions regarding the thesis, please contact me.
